"The Morality of Capitalism: The Ethical Influence on Economic Systems" is the title of a two-day seminar that is coming to Billings.
The "Occupy Wall Street" movement is in the news every day. In fact, over the past few years, Americans have watched the economies of our world wracked by many financial issues, first with the asset bubble in housing prices, then in the stock market down-turn and most recently, in the near collapse of the financial structure of most of the developed world. The "Occupy Wall Street" crowd cites capitalism as the culprit but is that true? And if it isn't true, do we know enough about the issues to defend capitalism? It is in that vein that a free seminar with P.J, Hill is set at the Holiday Inn Grand Hotel and Convention Center, January 6 and 7.
Dr. P.J. Hill has been a Professor of Economics at Wheaton College since 1986. He is a member of the prestigious international Mont Pelerin Society, and Past President of the nationwide Association of Christian Economists.
The event is part of an ongoing Big Sky Worldview Forum Lecture Series.
It will begin on Friday, Jan 6, 7 pm -9 pm (registration at 6:30 pm). The agenda will continue on Sat. Jan 7, at 9 am-Noon (registration at 8:30 am)
