Lincoln Reagan Dinner

The Yellowstone County Republicans will host the 2012 Lincoln Reagan Dinner on March 31 at the Holiday Inn Grand.  A meet and greet is scheduled at 5:30 pm with dinner at 7 pm.Comedian and conservative writer Eric Golub will be the keynote speaker.  Congressman Denny Rehberg, Congressional Candidate Steve Daines, and Billings Mayor Tom Hanel will also be in attendance at the event. Republican Gubernatorial candidates and other state office candidates have been invited to attend. Tickets are $50 when purchased before February 20 and $65 afterwards. Financing Business

Montana State University Extension and Montana Small Business Administration (SBA) will sponsor the webinar "Small Business Financing: Financing Your Business in a Booming Economy" on February 22 from noon to 1 p.m. Information on financing a start-up or expansion of a business during an oil boom will be included. The webinar will feature Gregg Gluekert, a commercial lender at a community bank in Billings, and the owner of several businesses in Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota. In addition, George Haynes, Extension Economist at MSU, will present an overview of small business lending concerns during the recent recession; and John Klaman, Senior Area Manager for the SBA in Billings, will discuss lending products available from the SBA. Lorene Hintz, a Small Business Development Center Director will provide information on opportunities for training funds and resources available to assist small businesses.

Legal Reform Conference

The Montana Chamber will be hosting a Legal Reform Conference in Billings on March 22 at the Hilton Garden Inn from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a number of topics include insurance reform, medical malpractice reform, work comp reform, permitting reform and much more.
