Small Business Week Celebration
The public is invited to attend the Small Business Administration's Small Business Week ceremony for the presentation of the SBA Small Business awards in Bozeman on June 7. The event is hosted by Prospera Business Network and supported by American Bank, Big Sky Economic Development, W.L. Gore & Associates, Montana World Trade Center and Gallatin College programs. Women in Business
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Montana Women's Business Center (WBC) and Prospera Business Network, in conjunction with Ravalli County Economic Development Authority, will present 2012 Montana Women in Business Conference, June 14, at the Bitterroot River Inn Conference Center, in Hamilton. The Conference will welcome nearly 200 women in business from around the state of Montana. Featured keynote speaker will be Sarah Calhoun, the owner of Red Ants Pants, who has been recognized as one of Montana's most accomplished woman entrepreneurs and has been honored as both the U.S. SBA 2012 National Women in Business Champion and the Montana SBA 2012 Women in Business Champion. Registration is $65, and includes conference materials and networking reception. Heart &?Sole
Organizers of the 33rd annual Heart & Sole Run are expecting another record turnout for the June 16, 2012 race – a destination-style event which draws families and serious competitors from around the region and the west. After the race, participants and fans will enjoy the new Montana Active Life Festival, a free, healthy-living festival at Dehler Park, 8 a.m. until noon. Heart & Sole Run participants can register for a 5K, 10K or 2-mile health walk. The race starts in front of St. Vincent Healthcare along North 30th Street. European Trade Mission
On May 21-25, MWTC is conducting a targeted European Trade and Investment Mission to the UK, Belgium, and The Netherlands (May 24-25) for Montana companies. Exciting opportunities primarily for the following sectors: Biotech and Bioscience, Renewable Energy, Water Management. They will assist your company in setting up meetings through the US Department of Commerce's Gold Key Matching Service. Export Workshop Offered
The Montana World Trade Center will host an Export Controls & Export Finance Workshop May 23, 2010 9am-5pm at the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center, Bozeman. This workshop will feature industry experts from Bureau of Industry Securities and the Export-Import Bank of the United States, to discuss export compliance, HTS codes, regulation and documentation procedures and export financing options.
